Tommy Bahama: "If you knew Tommy like I knew Tommy........"

I remember when the name Tommy Bahama broke-into the menswear business back in the 80s.  Even though I was buying for land-locked Central Pennsylvania, every time Joel Cohen (owner of Young Men's Shop, Altoona and State College, PA) and I would put these "island, beachy" shirts and pants in the store, they FLEW off the shelves.

Now, 20+ years later, this name, Tommy Bahama, is back in my life,......in Collections of FURNITURE from Lexington Home Brands, which I've had an account for the last 2+ years.  According to my sales rep, Lexington's Tommy Bahama KINGSTOWN COLLECTION has been "trending up" lately,....which, in this Furniture Economy, is saying something.

Here's the VIDEO of the KINGSTOWN COLLECTION by Lexington.  When I "spec" this Collection, I personally try to mix some LIGHTER pieces into a room of furniture, but some clients just like to get everything to "match," which is AOK for my MATCHERS (Mel and David and Jane and Tom,...well, at least MEL and JANE know what I mean........); it's all-about what YOU, the customer, WANTS (with my expert help, of course!!!!!).

Nice, eh?

AND,......,,as you browse through the MANY other Collections of TOMMY BAHAMA, check out my FAVOURITE OUTDOOR COLLECTION of Lexington's: Tommy Bahama Island Estate Veranda, .......which has the look of leather-wrapped bamboo, but is made in WEATHER-RESISTANT aluminum in a great umber colouration,......FABULOUS for your OUTSIDE areas that just-might need a NEW LOOK for this Spring/Summer.

FEBRUARY is the BEST TIME to ORDER new patio furniture (so you're not scrambling-around in May, buying whatever-the-heck is available "off-the-floor" (you should know by now how rarely THAT works........).....

So, there you have it!  Quality-Furniture at AFFORDABLE prices,.....just measure your space and I'll be happy to do a floor-plan, no matter if you live down-the-Interstate from me, or,...as Pennsylvania Peeps know, Mark Sunderland Interiors has a pre-approved RECEIVING WAREHOUSE in Central Pennsylvania!!!!!  So let me know what you'd like me to price-out,...and, of course, I can start the process with some no-charge memo-samples in the colours of YOUR choice.

I look forward to hearing from you, as always.....

THINK SPRING!!!!!!   It'll be here before you know it!

Brown Jordan: My FAVOURITE outdoor furniture!!!!

I've always loved selling Brown Jordan outdoor furniture, but, when I visited Ernest Gaspard and Associates at ADAC last week to preview for a client, Audrey showed me the NEWEST collection:  ELEMENTS.

"Designed by Richard Frinier for Brown Jordan, Elements was created to bring thought to what can be achieved using the various elements of good design and stylish forms. Uniquely shaped and artfully crafted pieces, combining a new, hand-woven and mohair-textured Resinweave® with powder-coated aluminum frames, set the stage for functional and flexible exterior and interior spaces. The woven surfaces of the sectional, and its corner, coffee and occasional tables were designed to use a moveable thin-lined flat tray made of powder-coated aluminum, which slides easily in two directions for ease of use and also provides an interesting contrast in texture and tonal color."

Many of my traditional clients are asking me to propose something more "transitional" for their patios, porches, and pools.  It's something like people who get a brand new kitchen......they almost-always want cleaner lines in the counterstools and barstools they request from me.

Well, I THOUGHT my client might like this new Elements Collection, and, after taking her to ADAC last Friday, she REALLY liked it.  I deem it perfect for the lifestyle she leads (she's an executive, ....and, as I almost always do, I glanced through her clothes closet a few months ago,....and let's just say, she doesn't shop at Talbot's anymore......not that there's anything wrong with Talbot's).......her clothes are smart, sophisticated, and savvy).....and the product I propose needs to reflect her current tastes in life; it's a Lifestyles Thing...........

I ordered all on Monday, getting things going, and within 2 months, she'll have a beautiful new patio filled with this transitional furniture.  We ordered:  the rectangular dining table with 6 dining arm chairs, .....and created a custom-sectional using the corner piece with a Sectional chair to the right and that Uber-Cool RAF (right arm facing) sectional piece to the left of the corner.  Two 20" square tables, and VOILA.......an updated look for someone who LOVES to entertain!!!!

Peruse through the entire Brown Jordan collections......I also have some other favourites:  Campaign Sling, Venetian, Eastlake, ....and many others.  Prices and availability upon request.

I look forward to hearing from some of you who just might need a new look OUTSIDE.

My cell number is but a "dial" away:  404-274-5091

Here's to Better Weather ahead.......

Christmas at Callanwolde: Digital Photos by DIGITAL ARTS STUDIO!!!!

This past Monday, Barry Glustoff and his wife Robin, co-owners of DIGITAL ARTS STUDIO in Atlanta, were my guests at Christmas at Callanwolde.  It was so nice to see them both,.... ESPECIALLY as it was Robin's birthday, and she chose to come visit my rooms and Christmas tree as a relaxing thing to do on her day-off.

As many of you already know, I use DIGITAL ARTS STUDIO for MANY things: the Keep Calm and Carry On banners on stretched canvas shown in the photos,......in fact, my Keep Calm and Carry On 5x7" card (that I used as my theme on my tree......) was produced, beautifully, by Barry's department at Digital Arts Studio.

Robin is my GO-TO for ALL my custom-framing.  Most of the artwork you see here in the photos were framed by Robin and co-owner, Peter Leafman's framing department at Digital Arts Studio.  I've used them for over 10 years now.  My clients LOVE going there; you should call them sometime you have a framing-job or digital photography work; they're by far, the BEST in the South!

Enjoy Barry's photos of my most-recent rooms......

Cheers!
